Happy Birthday to Max!

Max had a very fun and exciting birthday weekend. First he got to spend his birthday with his favorite twins Colton and Sulley. Then it was time to get dressed up for a big family dinner. We rounded up the weekend with a surprise birthday party with his oldest and favorite friends, Robert and CeCe.

Max started his birthday with a BIG happy birthday hug from Sulley.

Then it was time to line up for the party train... tta tta tta tta TTA ta!

At dinner Max was sporting a traditional Korean outfit to celebrate his 1st birthday.

What's all this fruit doing here? Where's the cake with TONS of frosting??!!??!!

Here's the cake... well, no frosting and it's made of rice...

Oh well... it's still CAKE!!!! Yeah!!!

Mommy wore a pretty Korean dress too... Daddy wasn't cool enough to get one though.

On Sunday at CeCe's house, she sang a special Happy Birthday song just for Max.

Make a wish Max!!! I wonder what he wished for? He probably wished he could blow out his own birtday cake. Maybe next year Max.

Yumm... look at this wonderful cake that Auntie Sara, Robert, and CeCe made. That's the cake that Max was waiting for... mmmm... frosting...!!

Max at Clemyjontri Park... takes a while to get used to that name.

Clemyjontri Park in McLean is pretty darn awesome. It was a little cold but it was great because we almost had the whole park to ourselves. This place was HUGE. Here are some of my favorite pics.

"... mommy, tell me a story..."

Once upon a time there was a cute little baby riding a blue dinosaur with yellow fins...

That had legs twice as long as his body...

Who loved to ride big waves...

and swim for miles and miles...

He could walk around the world in 12 seconds...

He could bend steel with his bare hands...

And walked amongst giants...

He could stop tanks in its track and giggle during the entire time.

But his best ability was to laugh and giggle all the time and just have lots of fun...

Where is Max going? ...Bye Max...

Oh... Max just went to get the car to take mommy and daddy home. He knows how to drive too.

The End.

Thanksgiving break pics... Brazil style

Nothing better than a Brazilian barbeque during Thanksgiving break. Over the break we visited Daniela's cousins who cooked up one fantastic meal. You just can't get this type of food anywhere. It was amazing.

This is Daniela cousin Jae with the before...

... and after. Yum!

Max also had some of that delicious picanha and got to spend a lot of quality time with Daniela's cousins kids too

Here's a nice picture of Daniela with her cousin and Amy.

Here's Amy after a big meal about to go into a food coma trying to play with Max.

Here's a nice picture of all the kids. From left to right Daniel, Amy, Max and Matthew. Amy is Matthew and Daniel's cousin.

Happy Black Friday Everyone

I told myself that I wouldn't but sure enough at 6:30am I was amongst hundred of other courageous parents at Toys R Us. It wasn't that bad, lines were long but very fast. Plenty of people to help me find things. Here are some of Max's cool new toys that daddy picked up at bargain prices.

Max kick'n it on the new picnic table just chilling and check up on his friends blogs on his new laptop.

Max was too busy updating his profile on Facebook to look at the camera.

"Finally! All done. Now I just have to wait for all the hot chicks to accept my friend requests."

Max also got a hot new ride to take his dates on. This is an actual 6v Kawasaki Power Wheel ATV. You push a little red button and off you go. This toy is one bad mamma jamma.

Coming soon... Max's ATV Adventures videos.

Mr. Telephone Man

It seems like Daniela teaches Max a cool new trick every day. This is my favorite so far. One day he started to pick up the telephone whenever you said "hello?" to him. It's the cutest thing. He's got a ton of other cute things that he's done but as you know, as soon as you finally find the camera, the moment is over. Anyways, as you can see he's doing great... laughing, giggling, screaming, drooling and walking all day long. As usual, please turn up the volume on your computer to fully enjoy the video.

Max on the move!!

Max has recently started to walk, which makes it VERY difficult to take good pics and it's exahusting chasing him around. So I've resorted to video for the time being. This video shows his progressions from 4 steps to many many wobbly steps. As always, please turn up your volume to enjoy this video to it fullest.

Shenandoah National Park

We couldn't think of a better way to spend a gorgeous Saturday like yesterday anywhere else except at Shenandoah National Park.

Max's First Piggy Back Ride.

Peek-a-boo

Good habits start early.

I hope it's true cause Max loves to brush his teeth. We even got him an adult brush for him to play with and he loves it.

Max's cousins come to visit us in DC

Shortly after we got back from Canada, Max's cousins Cadee and Charis came to visit us in DC. So we went to the Natural History Museum and hung out at home and Max got to see his cousins for a full week.
